Final Report of the Special Task Force on the Condition and Future of the Illinois Energy Infrastructure

Comprised of 10 Cabinet-level members and chaired by Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn, the Special Task Force on the Condition and Future of the Illinois Energy Infrastructure was charged with: examining the state’s power grid, reviewing nuclear safety procedures, and evaluating personnel levels at Illinois’ various generating and distribution facilities. The Special Task Force was asked to develop strategies to cut electric demand, promote energy efficiency and foster renewable energy sources.
